Viet Nam Navy participates in Multilateral Naval Exercise MILAN 2026 in India
On the morning of January 28, at the naval port of Brigade 171, Ship 17 of Brigade 171, Naval Region 2, together with the working delegation of the Viet Nam People’s Navy, departed to begin the voyage to participate in activities within the framework of the Multilateral Naval Exercise MILAN 2026 in India. Colonel Le Dinh Nghi, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Region, serves as Head of the working delegation.

Japan Coast Guard patrol vessel pays courtesy visit to Da Nang
During the visit, Japanese officers and sailors are scheduled to pay courtesy calls on leaders of the Da Nang People’s Committee, the director of the regional maritime search and rescue coordination centre No. 2, and the Commander of Coast Guard Region 2, as well as visit local cultural and tourist sites.

Vietnamese, Chinese soldiers conduct joint border patrol
The patrol was carried out in two time frames, lasting a total of seven hours. During the operation, both sides deployed three working teams with 48 officers and soldiers, used six vehicles, held 12 on-site meetings, distributed 300 information leaflets, provided outreach to 300 border residents, and patrolled a total distance of 150 km.

In its latest publication “Best in Travel 2026”, the world-renowned travel magazine Lonely Planet has released a list of the 25 best destinations worldwide for 2026, including Quy Nhon of Viet Nam, which was described as “the best for coastal adventures and delicious seafood”.

Vietnam, Cambodia bolster border trade connectivity
According to the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), during the first nine months of 2025, bilateral trade via land border gates reached 5.9 billion USD, up 15.5% year on year. Viet Nam’s exports increased 16.6% to 5.83 billion USD, mainly textiles, steel and aquatic products, while Cambodia exported rubber, cashew nuts, and other agricultural goods.
